I enjoy the mediums of oil, soft pastels and watercolours. In particular the colours of pastel are exquisite, I am particularly drawn towards pastel because of the wonderful effects it produces on skies and landscapes.

Many of my paintings are of seascapes or landscapes which show the peace and force of nature. However, I have had commissions on a range of subjects which include flowers, animals and portraits etc.

I originally came from Peterborough and spent many summers in Norfolk, hence my love of big skies and landscapes. When I married I moved to Rushden and although I still painted it was not until the children became adults that I was able to give the time required to paint. A chance meeting with John Frederick Black, the well known artist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, led me to develop my style.
